Lena Glover

Lena Jo Glover passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018. Visitation will be 4:00PM - 6:00PM Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, February 19, 2018 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Lena was born on January 5, 1928 to Berry (Jack) and Jessie Lowrie in Tahoka, Texas. She graduated from Abilene High School in 1946. She married the love of her life, Wright Glover, on March 9, 1946. She worked for the Credit Bureau for many years and has been a member of Bethel Temple Christian Center since 1984. She worked hard at everything she did. She loved to shop and loved her nick nacks. Above all she loved her family and she was very loved by her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Berry (Jack) and Jessie Lowrie; and her husband, Wright Glover.

Lena is survived by her children, Linda Rutledge, Karen Chaney and husband Mickey, Sheryl Lambert, and Barry Glover and wife Kim; grandchildren, Donna Gillett and husband David, Mark Rutledge and wife Barbra, Jessica Moore and husband Zach, Jordan Chaney and wife Brittany, Jaycen Woods and wife Brandi, Taylor Glover, Kylee Glover, and Kendall Glover; eight great grandchildren; and two great-great granddaughters.
