Leslie Koepke

SMsgt. Retired Leslie Lee Les Koepke, 75, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 1, 2011 in the Garden of Meditation at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South.

Les was born in Shiocton, Wisconsin on May 25, 1936. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force living and traveling all over the world throughout his 22 year career. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and was a talented carpenter and woodworker.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Denise Koepke of Abilene five children, Karen Koepke of Webb City, Missouri, Doug Koepke and wife Carolyn of Rwanda, Tim Koepke and wife Sue of Abilene, Matt Koepke and wife Jean of DeVille, Louisiana and Kelly Windsor and husband Eric of Sherwood, Oregon brothers, Erwin Koepke and wife Cindy, Melvin Koepke and wife Dona, Robert Koepke and wife Judy, and Merle Koepke sisters, Elaine Goerl and husband Gaylord and Rosalie Motzer and husband Gene 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Memorial donations are suggested to Our Savior Lutheran Church, Meals on Wheels.
