Leticia Doria Ambrosio, 66, of Abilene passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015 in Abilene.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 5 at 3:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church. A rosary will be held on Wednesday at Elmwood Funeral Home beginning at 5 followed by a viewing and visitation.
Leticia was born on November 17, 1948 in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, Philippines to the late Eulalio Doria and Petra Ortiz Doria. She married Wilfredo Ambrosio on January 22, 1972 and shared 43 years of love together. Leticia attended the prestigious Philippine Women's University and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Food and Nutrition in 1970. Soon after she became a Registered Dietician. She was so passionate about her work that after many years of service at Abilene Regional Medical Center, she decided to go back to work part-time. She continued to work at Hendrick Medical Center, Reliant Rehab and Oceans Behavioral Hospital. Leticia had a sweet tooth and always had candies and chocolates, children would approach her and she never said no. She was an avid reader and collected many books. She also loved being around animals. Leticia was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Leticia is survived by her husband, Willie; Brothers, Mario Doria and wife Teresa Manzano Doria; Gerard Doria and wife Milissa Carantes Doria; sister, Eduvije Doria Reyes and husband Jaime Reyes; nieces, Fatima Doria, Veronica Doria Reyes, Laetitia Hagins and husband Trevor Hagins; nephews, Michael Doria and girlfriend Sheba Balladares, Vincent Reyes, Gideon Doria, Francis Reyes; great nieces, Teofila Barnes and Talisa Hagins; great nephew, Trevonne Alfonso and Vindol Reyes.
She was also preceded in death by a sister Brenda Doria Paragas.
The Family would like to thank Hendrick Medical Center, the team of doctors that oversaw her care, & to all the family friends that have been so caring and given a lending hand.
