Linda was born September 1, 1938 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Felton and Jewel Doss. The youngest of three, Linda grew up proud of her Choctaw Indian heritage on the Red River and spoke often of her time growing up as an adventurous free-spirited child. She shared many of her stories with children, grandchildren and friends through the years. She married Joey Bryan, in Lubbock on February 24, 1956. The couple moved to Abilene from Monahans in 1963 with their six children. She and Joey owned several companies, including Lynn Electric Co. where Linda kept the office going, Big Country Oilfield Electric, Ace Specialty, Tye Backhoe and Welding and Sweetwater Marine. She was also a property owner/manager for many years. An avid reader and very curious, she loved history, nature, and animals especially horses and dogs, loved to embroidery, crochet and sew, was an amazing cook, loved to study natural healing and was a rock hound. Above all things Linda was a wonderful mother and loved her family with her whole heart.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joey D. Bryan; her son Stephen Bryan; her grandson, Stephan Bryan; and son in law, Darrel Smith.
Linda is survived by 5 children, Regina Jackson (Brent), Lisa Gray-Smith, Pamela Pelton, David Bryan (Theresa Jones), and Timothy Bryan (Melinda); grandchildren, Erin Jackson, Travis Jackson, Bryan Buckley, David Gray, Melissa Cude, Amy Denny, Jessica Steckly, Katelyn Bryan, and Riley Bryan; and 13 great grandchildren.
She was loved and will be greatly missed.
