Linda Louise Patty, 65, of Odessa, TX passed away Friday May 7th, 2010. She was born in Temple, OK to L.V. Shelton and Frances Marie Shelton Higgins. She graduated from Cooper High School in Abilene, TX in 1963 and attended McMurry University.

She is preceded in death by her father L.V. Shelton and her husband Freddie Lynn Patty.

She is survived by her mother, Frances Marie Shelton Higgins of Austin, TX sister, Marion Shelton Tucker of Westbrook, CT brother, Alan Shelton of Humble, TX daughters, Shannon Patty of Harrisonburg, VA, Sandra Patty Rose and husband Chris Rose of Odessa, TX, Lauri Patty of Odessa, TX, Erin Patty of Austin, TX grandchildren, Sean Patty and Meagan Patty of Harrisonburg, VA, Logan Nicole Rose of Odessa, TX, great grandchildren, Josiah Patty and Zayden Jones of Harrisonburg, VA nephews, Jesse Alexander of Austin, TX, Henry Paul of Burlington, CT, Matt Paul of Long Island City, NY, Travis Paul of Westbrook, CT and granddog, Sam.

She also leaves behind special friends James Schneider, Horace Prewitt, Lynnell Jones and numerous others she cherished along the way.

Linda had a quick wit about her and a good sense of humor. She loved animals, was a great cook and enjoyed socializing. She looked forward to football season every year and enjoyed her fantasy football leagues. The family is comforted in knowing she is resting in peace with her dad.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 14th from 5pm7pm at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, TX 79606 with funeral services to be held Saturday, May 15th at 2pm in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.
