Lisa Juanette Stinson, 75, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022, in Abilene, Texas. Visitation will begin 9:00 AM, Friday, December 16, 2022, in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, December 16, 2022, in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, December 16, 2022, at Glen Cove Cemetery in Coleman County.
Lisa was born December 13, 1946, in Picayune, Mississippi to Charles and Stena Mitchell. She went to school to be a LVN. Lisa was a tender and loving nurse and spent many years working for the State School in Abilene, Texas. She had a beautiful talent of playing the piano and singing. On December 19, 2009, Lisa married her love David Stinson and the couple spent many years of blissful marriage. Lisa was a long-time member of Hope Eternal of Abilene. She loved her family with her whole heart and loved the Lord even more. Her love and legacy will be one that is carried on through the generations to come.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Shelby Boyer.
Lisa is survived by her husband, David Stinson; her daughter, Sonja Cox and her husband Kendall; her grandchildren, Justin Smith and his wife Jonah, Emma Rattling-Gord and her husband Collin, Adam Boyer, Jackie Boyer, and Andrew Cox and his wife Alex; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Denise Rivas; and Michelle Howell; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
