Lois Bledsue

Lois Bledsue, 75, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010 in Abilene. A graveside service with Steve Smith officiating will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 in the Garden of Remembrance at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 HWY 277 South. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Lois was born in Odem, Texas on January 23, 1935 the daughter of George Richey and Stella Mae Ledger. She grew up in the BallingerSan Angelo area and married Bill Bledsue in Rowena in 1962. Lois was a proud and loving homemaker while raising her children and after they were grown she set out on several business ventures including starting her own pilot car business and dabbling in real estate. She enjoyed reading, working in the yard and remodeling houses.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Bill Bledsue her children, Ray Evans and wife Barbara of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Sandy Evans of San Angelo, Judy McAllister of Abilene, Laura Freeman and husband James of Buffalo Gap and Sherrie Cortez of Abilene grandchildren, Chris Evans, Jamie, Shawn and Phillip Pittman, Michael Kol, Misty Chaney, Desiree DeLoia, Justin and Jacee Freeman, William Marshall, Daniel Bledsue and Angelica Cortez 8 great grandchildren a brother, Raymond Richey of Austin two sisters, Billy Rumsey of Houston and Jerrie Schaffer of Missouri.
