Lonnie LoHo Hohimer, 51, passed away January 26, 2012 in Sweetwater. Visitation will be from 6 till 8 PM, Monday, January 30, 2012 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral will be 10 AM, Tuesday, January 31, 2012 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Parks Garden of Gethsemane.
Lonnie was born April 24, 1960 in Kansas City, MO to Otis Sr. and Carol Lambert Hohimer. He graduated from Mt. View High School in Mt. View, California. In 1982 he joined the United States Air Force and served our country honorably for six years. While in the Air Force he met and married Beverly Swink in 1985 and they enjoyed twentysix years of marriage together. Lonnie worked for Crown Cork and Seal in Abilene until its closing when he began his career with the BNSF Railroad as an Engineer and Conductor. He enjoyed playing golf and going to the casinos but his most enjoyable moments were spent with his three children. Whether they were fishing, playing football or swimming, he just loved being with them. He was a loving husband and father and will be missed dearly by his family.
Lonnie is survived by his wife, Beverly and three children, Desiree, Joseph, and Christopher all of Abilene mother, Carol Lambert of Spokane, WA one sister, Evelynn Webb of Spokane, WA two brothers, Tim Hohimer of Idaho and Otis Hohimer Jr of Abilene.
He is preceded in death by his father, Otis Hohimer Sr.
