Lorene Mall

Lorene Joyce Mall, 83, passed away August 8, 2016, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Friday, August 12, 2016 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral service will be 10 AM, Saturday, August 13, 2016 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

Lorene was born August 26, 1932 in Cisco, TX to James and Mary Wadley Adams. She grew up in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School. She married James Hallmark and they had two children together. She attended Texas Tech University and began working as an accountant. After many years of employment, she retired from R.P. Kincheloe in Dallas. While living in Dallas she married Harold Mall in 1996.

She enjoyed playing bridge, was member of the Ski Club, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Lorene is survived by her daughter, Jana Smith and husband Jay of Hawley, TX; son, Mark Hallmark of Fort Worth, TX; seven grandchildren, Nathan Smith, Levi Smith, Jacob Smith, Sarah Smith, Lindsey Kay Hallmark, Loren Hallmark, Ryan Hallmark; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
