Louis Portillo

Louis Saenz Portillo, 77, loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 30, 2011 at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church, 2525 Westview with interment following in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM on Thursday with Rosary at 6:30 PM and Wake Service at 7:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South.

Louis was born on August 14, 1934 in Abilene the son of Jose V. Portillo and Maria Isabell Saenz Portillo. He worked at Abilene Candy Company for 45 years and also did custodial work for AISD and several local churches. He was a member of St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church. Louis was a hard worker with a strong will and a strong love for his family. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Juanita Portillo of Abilene his children, Mary Lou Portillo of Crosby, Raymond Portillo and wife Kem of Cypress and Jackie Tiner and husband Paul of Round Rock one brother, one sister, 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

His parents, a daughter, Debbie Portillo and 3 brothers preceded him in death.
