Louis Jacob Pop Zientek,Sr., 79, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013 in Abilene. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South with interment following in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday at Elmwood Funeral Home.
Louis was born on August 14, 1933 in Brenham, Texas the son of Jospeh Zientek and Janie Kaminski Zientek. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and married Virginia Irene Cureton on June 18, 1965 in Houston. Louis has been a resident of Abilene since 1984 where he was the owner of Audio Magic and a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and loved to travel as much as possible, Louis and Virginia were active members of the Good Sams, Rainbow Travelers and Wildcat Sams.

urvivors include his wife Virginia of Abilene his children, Richard and wife Roberta of Burlington, Louis Jr. and wife Vanessa of Abilene, Michael and wife Estella of Wisner, Louisiana, Ernie and wife Francis of Antlers, Oklahoma, and Larry Joe and wife Diane of Abilene nine grandchildren, Zachry, Caitlyn, Annamarie, Suzanna, Alex, Kathleen, Zane, Zeth, Jacob five great grandchildren two special girls who have always been like granddaughters, Jamie and Mandy and one brother, Frank Zientek and wife Betsy of Maryland.
His parents, a brother, Phillip and a sister, Carolyn Pierucci preceded him in death.
