Lue B. Crites, 87 passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 till 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Lue was born to Jeff and Olive Bowden in Martin, Tennessee on October 14, 1923. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Frank daughter, Clara Dudak and husband David sons, Rocky Crites and wife Cheryl, David Lee Crites and wife Patricia and Bill Hanson 11 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren and many other family and friends. Mrs. Crites was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Clara May Hanson. She married Frank in 1943 and faithfully supported him during his Air Force career until his retirement in Abilene, Texas in 1974. They were members of First United Methodist Church in Abilene where Lue sang in the church choir as she had done all over the world wherever they lived. Mr. and Mrs. Crites fully enjoyed traveling in their motor home, attending family events, and military reunions.
