Luthy Garner

Luthy Mae Garner passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 in Abilene, Texas. Visitation will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, January 11, 2019 at Mount Zion First Baptist Church, 520 Stafford Street. Interment will follow the service in the City of Abilene Cemetery, 1133 Cottonwood.

Luthy was born August 17, 1940 to Willie and Fannie Williams in Cameron, Texas. She worked for Abilene Regional for 25 years. Luthy loved to go to Church and was a member at Mount Zion First Baptist Church. She was very active with her church until her health declined. She was very loved and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Garner Jr.; her parents, Willie and Fannie Williams, sisters, Rosie Nell Jenkins, Carrie B. Walker, Julia Ree Pittmon, Ora Mae Johnson, and Irene Martin; brothers, Robert Lee Williams, and Bobby Williams.

Luthy is survived by her siblings, Cora Lee Davenport, Dorothy Jane White, and Willie Williams Jr.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
