Lynn Heiser

Lynn Owens Heiser, 58, died on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at home with her family. A chapel service at Elmwood Funeral Home, with Pastor Oran Rake officiating, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 11, 2016, followed by graveside rights. Dress is casual. There will be a visitation Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Elmwood Funeral Home. All arrangements are under the direction of Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Highway 277 South.

Lynn was born June 27, 1957 in Abilene, Texas to Glendene and Elsie Slaughter Owens. Lynn graduated from Abilene High School. On August 9, 1975 Lynn married David Heiser and they made their home in Abilene, raising 3 sons. Lynn primarily was a homemaker, but also worked as a data entry operator for multiple companies prior to retiring. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her children, her yorkies, Lucy and Lola, the occasional slot machine, a good margarita, and a heated argument.

Lynn was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Slaughter Owens; two uncles; an aunt; and her father, Glendene Owens.

Survivors include her husband, David Heiser of Abilene; three sons, Adam and wife Melissa Heiser of Abilene, Nicholas Heiser of Dallas, Scott Heiser and husband Scott Chambers of Seattle, Washington; three grandsons, Michael, Alec, and Brandon.
