Margaret Ann Heath, 70, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010 in Abilene. Visitation will be Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 5:30 till 7:30 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Her funeral will be 2:00 PM, Friday, May 7, 2010 at Elmwood Funeral Home.
Margaret was born July 6, 1939 in Mertens, TX to Raymond and Leoma Grounds. She attended school at Novice and Abilene High. She married Herbert Heath on August 18, 1956 and enjoyed 53 years of marriage. They lived in Tacoma, WA while he served our country in the United States Army and relocated back to Abilene to raise the family in 1959. They started Herbs Truck Service in 1981 where she served as bookkeeper and boss for 16 years. She continued her work in the cafeterias at Woodson Early Childhood and Wylie Jr. High. She was a member of Broadview Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren above anything else.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Herbert Heath two daughters, Kathy Kerbow and husband Tony, Kristy Hampton and husband Dwayne six grandchildren, Jim Kerbow, Travis Kerbow and wife Tatum, Adrienne Ruffin and husband Gregg, Heather Canada and husband Patrick, Bryan Hampton, Jayna Hampton seven great grandchildren, Alyssa, Conner, Kaden, Toni, Brooks, Blaze, Ryann one brother, Ray Grounds and wife Mary R. one sisterinlaw, Mary F. Grounds one aunt, Maryanna Dale and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Jimmie Joe.
