Margaret Key

June was born February 24, 1948 in Abilene, Texas, the first daughter of the late Leonard and Geneva Askins. After graduating from Abilene High School in1966, she married Stanley Key on January 20, 1968 and began a thirty-year career as a bank teller supervisor. June and Stanley celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year.
June's immediate family wishes to thank all of her doctors, nurses, aides, and chaplains for their loving care and kindness, and for all the sincere prayers from those who gave her hope and comfort throughout her 18-month struggle with cancer.

June is survived by her husband and two daughters: Lisa and husband Billy Davis of Abilene, Lori Key of Abilene, and one son, Matt and wife Carri Key of Lubbock: also, one sister, Judy Gray; one niece, Stacie Greenwood; one nephew, Jason Little, aunt, Ruth and husband R.B. Howard, all of Abilene; uncle, Alvin and Charlene Cavaness of Dallas, and many other aunts and uncles.
There are eight grandchildren: Cody Ethan-Key Davis, Brylee Jordan and husband Charlie Lawson, Chase Catheryn McBurney, Austin Brooks Barnes, Brayden Kelly Key, Randy Chance Davis, Piper June Key, and Mackenzie Lynn Key.

Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 21, 2018 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. A reception for family and friends will be held immediately following the service.
