Margaret Anna Parsons, 83, of Abilene passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, in Abilene.
A graveside service will be held at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 2:00 PM.
Margaret was born on December 1, 1938, in Kansas City, Mo. to the late Lawrence Frick and Thelma Thomas Frick. She married the love of her life, Ronald Dwayne Parsons on July 22, 1974, in Independence, Mo. They shared a joy of love, life and travel that took her all over the world. She had a deep love of history and a desire to see where that history took place. She took great pride in her own heritage and her membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Margaret was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Frances of Assisi Catholic church in Abilene. She was an avid reader and loved to write lengthy letters to family and friends. Margaret was the matriarch of the family, a strong presence and communicator who made sure the family ties remained strong. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Ronald Dwayne Parsons; children, Christopher Leonard Brown, Paul Thomas Brown and Michael Anthony Brown; grandchildren, Gabriel Brown, Zachary Brown, Delaney Brown, Jackson Riley Brown; brother, James Frick; numerous extended family and friends.

The family sincerely thanks the care givers and hospice staff for the love and care shown to Margaret and the family during her illness and rejoice that she is free from pain and with her Lord and Savior.
