Margie Curry passed away at the age of 89 on May 14, 2024. A visitation will be held at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South, in Abilene, TX, on May 19, 2024, from 5:00 -7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, on May 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Memorial Park.
Margie was born on November 15, 1934, in Doole, TX to William and Annie Mae McMillan.
She was a dedicated mother, devoted daughter, and an adored grandmother. Margie, known as Munzie to her grandkids, and great grandkids, was an infectiously passionate Cowboys and Spurs fan recruiting generations to the fandom. She was a masterful game player, and was incredibly skilled at crocheting, quilting, arts and crafts of all kinds. She was an active and proud member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William McMillan and Annie Mae McMillan; sisters, Mozelle Wilbanks, and Florene Vickers; and grandson, Michael Kilmer Jr.
She leaves behind her daughter, Julie Langseth and husband Mark; son, Mike Kilmer, and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Ashleigh Ridings and husband John, Heather (Liz) Ross and partner Blake Burns, Rebecca Thompson and husband Nick, Marcus Langseth, Calista Railsback and husband Chaz, Courtni Henot and husband Sebastien, Cayce Kilmer, Jake Kilmer, Zach Kilmer, and Abby Snider; brother, Leroy "Buzz" McMillan; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Margie's extensive family and friends will miss her incredible wit and humor. Her warm presence and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her
