Margie Aline Sutton, 83, passed away January 18, 2021 in Abilene.
Margie was born in Rising Star, grew up in Eastland and graduated from Eastland High School. She married the love of her life Oscar Dean Sutton in 1955. They moved to Lubbock before relocating and settling in Abilene in 1962. Her work career as a secretary led her to several jobs including AISD, Abilene Savings and then Calvary Baptist Church where she retired after 20 years of employment as the church secretary. She was a member of Calvary Baptist for many years and later Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.
She loved to clean and rearrange furniture. enjoyed fishing in the mountains at Red River, NM, but her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family especially her granddaughter Lara.
Margie is survived by her daughter, Becky Pliml and husband James; one granddaughter, Lara Pliml; three sisters, Wanda Goble and husband James of Cross Plains, Ernie Mae Bint of Olney, TX, and Bonnie Whitaker and husband Dale of Anson, Tx; one sister-in-law, Patsy Banks; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Dean; one daughter, Teresa Sutton; her parents, Roy Louis and Ernestine Seal Lane; and seven brothers, Roy Jr., Charles, Richard, Truman, James, Bobby, Larry.
