Maria Hernandez

Maria Hernandez, 51, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 surrounded with love from her family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South, Abilene, TX. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 10:00 AM also in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband, Raul Gamez and two children, Rosemary Gamez and Raul Gamez Jr; father, Policarpio Hernandez of Alton, TX; seven sisters, Lupe Cervantez of Hertford, TX, Berta Gonzalez from Hertford, TX, Rachel Hernandez of Amarillo, TX, Virginia Granadoz from Wellington, TX, Julie Bermudez from Missouri, TX, Lucy Hernandez from Kyle, TX and Patricia Santoyo from Buda, TX; one brother, Arnulfo Hernandez from Kyle, TX.

Maria is preceded in death by her mother, Olga Villareal.

Pallbearers include Angel Hernandez, Juan Hernandez Jr., Paul Avalos Jr., Raul Gamez Jr., Marcelino Cervantez, Enrique Cervantez, Sandy Granadoz and Christopher Garcia.
