Maria Quintanilla

Maria Quintanilla passed away on Tuesday. A visitation will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 10, 2018 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Maria was born September 10, 1953. She attended and graduated from Strawn schools. She never met a stranger, was witty, comical, genuine, and independent. Maria was a hard worker and provider for her family. She was known to feed the whole neighborhood. She was very loved and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fermin Aguilera and Rosa Palomar; and two brothers, Fermin Aguilera Jr. and Joe Aguilera.

Maria is survived by her two children, Rufus Quintanilla and wife Wendy, and Maggie Spire and husband Travis; five grandchildren, Gavan Gonzales, Garron Quintanilla, Riley Gonzales, Rhyer Quintanilla, and Liam Webb; five siblings, Rosa Luna and husband Joe, Marta Kler, Juanita Quintero and husband Joe, Tony Aguilera and wife Denise, and Jose Palomar; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
