Mom was the cornerstone of our large family. She loved each of us unconditionally and we will forever be grateful for her love, guidance and compassion. We sometime wonder how she raised seven kids without going crazy and still managed to pursue her hobbies while being involved in her kids and grandkids lives. She was a multi-talented artist who excelled at crochet and sewing, enjoyed ceramics and painting. Mom could sit at a penny gambling machine for hours and have a great time. We will truly miss Mom's compassionate advice and loving and gentle spirit.

Marilyn and Ed celebrated 39 years of marriage before his death on September 8, 1996. She is also preceded in death by her parents, her brother E.E. "Jack" Knudson, and her sister Anna Rinker.

She is survived by her seven children: Susan (Ken) Koctar, Kimberly (Tony) Powell, Debbie Craig, Edward John III (Debbie), Michelle (Les) Robbins, Dean, Jeffrey (Kellie) as well as her grandchildren:

Twenty-two grandchildren: Crystal (Jeff) Crocker, Matthew (Sarah) Koctar, Ethan Koctar, Michael Phillips, Brandon, Aaron & Garrett Powell, Tanner Borcik, Bri'Ann Beaty, Christopher Craig, Stephen (Taylor) Borcik, Collin, Sarah, & Carson Borcik, Tyler (Kady) Johnston, Zachary & Kelsey Robbins, Allison & Austin Borcik, Alexa, Rylie and Caroline Borcik.
And twelve great grandchildren: Avery Crocker, Mariah Rosenow, Julian, & Cooper Koctar, Breanna Cox, Alyssa & Michael Phillips, Jr., Elliott Borcik, Isabella & Jaxon Carr, Matias Cervantes and Judah Flores.
