Mario Calvo

Mario Alberto Calvo, 32, departed from life on June 3, 2013. Funeral will be 10:00 AM, Friday, June 7, 2013 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Visitation will be Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 6:00 till 7:00 PM with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home. Interment will be in Elmwood Memorial Parks Garden of Grace.

Mario was born July 22, 1980 in Del Rio, TX to Juanita and Mario Calvo.
He was our little angel borrowed from heaven. Mario was a friendly and lively person.He never liked to see anyone sad or down, upset or mad, he would do what he could to put a smile on everyones face. He loved music, traveling, going to movies, out to eat, and mostly he enjoyed playing the drums at church. Mario enjoyed life, he participated in the special Olympics where he received medals that he was very proud of.

Now that he has gone home to be with the Lord and other family members, he has left us with lots of good memories. We want to send our appreciation and say Thank You to Betty Hardwick and The Cypress Activity Center, all the medical staff, and also Integracare Hospice that did everything they could to make him comfortable as he took part in this journey.

He is survived by his mother, Juanita Calvo his father, Mario Calvo sisters, Lidia Torres, Mayra Martinez stepbrother, Christian Calvo stepsister, Lorena Calvo several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Candelario Acosta and Petra Acosta grandfather, Genaro Calvo brother, Ancelmo Garcia aunt, Maria Socorro.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be given in Marios honor by contacting Elmwood Funeral Home.
