Marion Mcdonald

Marion Eloise McDonald, 88, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 in Abilene. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 17th in the Garden of Faith at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South.

Marion was born in Princeton, Illinois on August 15, 1922 the daughter of Charles M. Wise and Zilpha M. Shofner Wise. She married Robert S. McDonald in 1952 and they came to Abilene in 1974 when Robert was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base. She worked 7 years at the Savings and Loan and 15 years for several local lawyers. Marion worked until she was 84 years old. She was a Lutheran and enjoyed reading and caring for her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen J. Reinhart of Monroeville, PA her son, Gary McDonald of Abilene grandchildren, Farron McDonald of New York, Michael Reinhart of Chicago, Nicole Reinhart of Monroeville, PA and Linda Riesso of Tucson, Arizona 5 great grandchildren, Hana, Megan, CJ, Robert and Colton Reinhart, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Her husband, parents, 3 sisters, 2 brothers and grandson, Carl Reinhart preceded her in death.
