Marjorie June Ververs, 82, of Abilene passed away, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in Abilene.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 11 AM at Elmwood Memorial Park.
June was born on April 27, 1938 in Rush Colorado, to the late Gladys Nicholas Melbuer and Leona Bond Melbuer. She married Gregory Ververs on June 18, 1956 in Raton, New Mexico. June was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and worked many years at Hendrick Medical Center and the Abilene State School caring for patients and retired from Hendrick Medical Center after 25 years. She and Greg enjoyed bowling together and spending time with family. June enjoyed embroidery, sewing and making ceramics. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
June is survived by her husband of 64 years, Greg Ververs; children, Dean Ververs (Jackie), Candy Sierra (Lou), Vickie Hill; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Marie Sutliff and Dorothy Goddard; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
