Martha Prewitt

Martha Leona Prewitt, 76, passed away on Wednesday September 7, 2022, in Abilene, Tx. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM, Friday, September 16, 2022, at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South.
Martha was born on February 21, 1946, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to Benjamin Rodgers and Lela Robinson. Martha spent most of her life in Broken Bow and moved to Abilene 6 years ago.
Martha worked in the home health industry for over 20 years and loved caring for others. She had a big heart, a good sense of humor but was also straight forward and could teach the mules to be stubborn. Above all she loved her family and will be greatly missed.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Earl Rodgers and Eric Rodgers; stepson, Bill Smith; and nephew, Cole Rodgers.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Jammie King and husband Robert; son, James Haney; stepson, Steven Smith; grandchildren, Samantha Topel, Zackary King, Amanda Ulrich, Sara Box, Holt Haney, Bentley Haney, and Fisher Greyson; sisters, Patricia Vaughn and Nancy Rodgers; brother, Kim Rodgers; and numerous great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
