Marvin was born December 29, 1921 in Burkburnett, Texas to Sidney and Rosa Lorenz. He married Ruby Dillard on April 6, 1942 in Yuma, Arizona and the couple remained happily married for 63 years. Marvin was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his wife Ruby Dillard Lorenz and his son Ronnie Lorenz.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a daughter, Glenda Marshall and husband Lee of Weatherford, TX.; a daughter in law Darla Lorenz Pfeifer and her husband Walt; grandchildren, Robyn Wertheim and husband Paul, Brooke Nichols and husband Brady all of Abilene, and Jennifer Starritt and husband Randee of Vista, CA.; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Lauren Wertheim, Conner and Allie Nichols, and Braeden and Cannon Starritt; and a brother, Sid Lorenz.
The family sincerely thanks Dr. G. Toby Williams and his staff, especially Angie, for not only their wonderful medical care of Marvin over the years, but also for their friendship.
