Marvin Taylor, 82, of Abilene passed away June 26th in Mansfield, TX.
His interment will be private.
Born in Nolan, Texas on April 29, 1936, Marvin was the son of Myles Eugene Taylor and Mavis Lister Taylor. He was married to the love of his life, Kay Taylor, for 53 years until her death in 2014.
A graduate of Hardin Simmons University, the majority of his career was spent as an auditor for the State of Texas. He loved people and a good joke as well as the outdoors as he enjoyed many hours hunting and fishing. He was a member of Wylie Baptist Church and Abilene's Masonic Lodge 559.
The family would like to express appreciation to the wonderful caregiver Belinda Hopkins and the Envoy Hospice Nurses, Monica and Erica, as well as the Envoy Hospice staff for providing loving care.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Smith and spouse Gabe of Mansfield, grandsons Grant and Garrett Smith.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Bobbie Clanton.
Memorials to honor Marvin's memory, the family suggests donations be made to the Scottish Rite Hospital, 2222 Welborn Street, Dallas, TX 75219, or a charity of your choice.
