Mary Bea Adkins, 90, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 in Abilene. Visitation will be 1:003:00 PM, Friday, November 16, 2012 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Graveside funeral service will follow the visitation on Friday at 3:00 PM at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Bea was born January 16, 1922 in Paris, TX to John and Carrie Day Campbell. She married James ED Adkins in 1942. She was an Avid Fisherman, Canasta player, and loved to bake. She was a member of Oldham Lane Church of Christ and the pink ladies volunteers at Hendrick Medical Center.
Bea is survived by two sons, Bob Adkins and Dennis Adkins and wife Lynn, all of Abilene ten grandchildren numerous great, and greatgreat grandchildren one brother, Johnny Campbell several beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ed Adkins her parents two brothers and one sister.
