Mary Balderas

Mary Alice Balderas, 81, passed away December 24, 2020 in Abilene, Texas. A prayers service will be held 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A graveside will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
Mary was born August 13, 1939 in Edinburg, Texas. Mary’s servant’s heart and spirit of hospitality was seen anytime you entered her home. You were especially welcomed if you sit and have a cup of coffee. Her life revolved around cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mary’s laugh was contagious and was sure to put a smile on anyone that was in her presence. Mary was so sweet and kind hearted and would do anything for anyone. Mary’s love and legacy will be carried on through her family forever.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Jessie Ramirez, and Joe Ramirez; her son, Aldolfo Jr. Balderas; and her daughter, Dahlia Sanchez.
Mary is survived by her children, Robert Sepeda of Houston, Gilbert Soto of Abilene, Rosie and Marvin Cox of Brownwood, Gloria and Ricky Alaniz of Abilene, Johnny Balderas of Abilene, and Melissa Balderas of Abilene; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
