Mary Bowman

Today a precious person went to be with our Lord and Savior. Mary L. Bowman passed away at the age of 79. A graveside funeral will be held in the City of Lubbock Cemetery on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 1:00 PM.

Mary was born in Clovis, New Mexico on February 4, 1934 to Verna and Herman McAlavy. After her graduation from Clovis High School she attended two years of Vocational school to become a bookkeeper. She married Jim Coffee and they had one son, Jimmy Don and later married George Reinier and had two children, Robert and Marla. She worked for the Clovis News Journal for several years as a receiving clerk and Sparkle Cleaners as a dry Cleaner. She married Jim Bowman and then moved to Abilene in 1998. She was an avid bowler, loved to fish, was a Christian who loved her family and spending time with them, and adored her brother.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Herbert McAlvy.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Marla and Rick Diaz her sons, Jimmy and Robert Reinier, her brother, Don McAlavy and his family and six grandchildren.
