Mary Johns

Mary Ann Johns, 88, died Thursday, January 6, 2011 in Bastrop, Texas. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 10, 2011 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park, Garden of Gospels. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Mary Ann was born on June 14, 1922 in Mount Pleasant, Texas the daughter of Robert Gilpin and Ruby Payne Gilpin. She was the widow of James Johns owner of JG Johns Air Conditioning in Abilene for many years. She was a member of the First Central Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Joanna Johns Garrison of Smithville 3 grandchildren, Dowel Garrison and wife Nicole, Dane Garrison and special friend, Stephanie Maxwell, and Bradley Garrison and wife Tammy 2 greatgrandchildren, Layton Garrison and Makenna Garrison.
