Mary Motley

Mary Shaw Peyton Motley, 90, was born in Breckenridge, Texas on May 12, 1923 to Frank and Effie Kate Peyton. She grew up in Waco, and after attending Baylor, her family moved to Abilene where she met and then married her beloved husband, Zolus Motley in 1947. She passed away on November 23, 2013, in Friendswood, Texas eighteen years to the day after her husband.

Mary Shaw was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Harry Peyton.

She is survived by her daughter, Coco Motley of Friendswood two sons, Jeff Peyton Motley and wife Diane of Houston, and David Motley and wife Susan of Kerrville three grandchildren Marshall Motley of Spring , Mary Kate Motley of Denton, Travis Peyton Motley and wife Catherine of Pearland, and their daughter Peyton Madelyn Motley.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 30th at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Arrangements are with Elmwood Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Webster Presbyterian Church, 201 West NASA Parkway, Webster, Texas, 77598.
