Mary Murray

Mary Corine Murray, 79, of Abilene passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 in Abilene.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 10 AM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mary was born on July 3, 1939 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Weldon Bailey Rice and Lydia Evelyn Kirkland Rice. She married Wayne Murray on March 17, 1961 and had 43 years together until his passing in 2004. Mary was a strong Christian woman who loved to play bridge and enjoyed traveling. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Abilene. Mary dearly loved her grandchildren and will be missed by all who were blessed to have known and loved her.

Mary is survived by her children, Dr. Michael Murray, John Murray and Linda Carrol and husband Dwayne; grandchildren, Brenna Murray, Josh Murray and wife Destiny Marie, Andrea Murray, Amanda Murray, J.D. Ramirez and Johnna Ramirez; 7 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Robert Rice and wife Evelyn.
Mary was also preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Rice.
