Peggy was born September 11, 1923 to Mary Jane and Warren McClung in Deer Creek, Oklahoma; the second of three children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guyn M. Pannell and brothers, Joe and Jim McClung.
Peggy was a charter member of South Side Baptist Church and faithfully attended church and Sunday school as long as her health permitted. Peggy enjoyed reading her bible, gardening, sewing, and arts and craft, especially painting. She had a very green thumb and kept a beautiful backyard that was the envy of anyone who saw it. She was a member of the Abilene Garden Club for many years.
Peggy loved being Grandma whether she was sewing Halloween costumes, making Christmas stockings, carving pumpkins, or dying Easter eggs. She also loved playing the piano and as a young girl, learned to tap dance. She had great fun entertaining the grandchildren when she got out her tap shoes and tapped on the kitchen floor.
