Mary Pieper

Mary Gail Pieper went to be with our Lord on March 21, 2017. She was born September 20, 1952 in Abilene, TX to Doc Wiley and Gail Johnson.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM located in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel; 5750 HWY 277 South. Funeral service will be Friday, March 24, 2017 at 2:30 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home.
She was the oldest of 7 siblings: Doc, Dottie, Loraine, Buc, Phyllis, & Melissa. Thanks to her Granny Bo, Mary experienced and built a strong and devoted Christian relationship with the Lord at an early age that she passed on to her sons, JJ and his wife Jennifer, & Ben and his wife Kelly; along with her grandchildren, Jayden, Katelyn, Bryson, & Kyler. Mary loved the Lord, her family, and friends deeply, which always came first. She loved gardening, cooking, fishing, crocheting, watching movies & playing with her grandchildren. Mary was a devout wife, mother & grandmother.
She was married to James Edward Broyles, Sr. for 40 years before his death in March of 2009. Together they built a home filled with fishing, racing, and raising Shelties. They married while in high school and raised two sons.
She married David Pieper on January 7, 2012. With David, she continued her passion for fishing, gardening, and enjoying time with their grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her husband, David of Abilene; David's daughter Valeri Littrell and grandson Justice; her two sons, JJ Broyles and wife Jennifer and Ben Broyles and wife Kelly; grandchildren, Jayden, Katelyn, Bryson and Kyler; one brother; three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
