Michael Hunt

Michael Linn Hunt, 60, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Michael was born April 4, 1956 in Abilene, Texas. He graduated from Abilene High School in 1974. Michael married Debbie Hancock September 6, 1974 in Abilene. The couple would have celebrated 42 years of marriage this year. He worked 25 years in the air conditioning and heating field, and worked in computer drafting. For the past six and a half years, Michael has been employed by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a Correctional Officer.

He was a member of the Abilene Road Rider Motorcycle Club and was an avid watch and knife collector.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Warren Hunt, his mother, Shirlene Fredenburg, and sister, Jennifer Unruch.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his son, Rory Hunt; granddaughters Izabell, Abbigeal and Elizabeth; one brother, Warren Hunt and his wife, Jeanne; an uncle, Chris Sarandis and wife Peggy; nephews Jonathan and Eddie; and niece Mickeala.

Pallbearers will be Allen Davis, James Stewart, Jim Sass, Greg Cruz, Jeremy Maynard, Steven Garcia and Jonathan Hunt.
