Michelle Smith

Michelle Smith, 55, of Abilene, TX, passed away August 25, 2017. Visitation will be 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A funeral service will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Michelle was born April 10, 1962 in South Amboy, New Jersey to Morris and Ada Bunt. She's been also been a fighter and fought to the end because she loved her family and wanted to be here for them. She was diagnosed at a young age with RP and was nearly blind. Then was diagnosed with Breast cancer that later went into remission to only hit again but this time in her bones. Even with these obstacles that life had thrown her way she always had a very positive outlook on life. She was always one to look out for others and was a second mom to most. She loved to craft and helped with "find Hailey Dunn ". Above all of this she loved her family and friends and she will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Smith; her parents, Morris Nelson Bunt Sr. and Ada Lavern Bunt.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Smith; two grandchildren, Jaysa and Asher Smith; two brothers, Morris Bunt Jr. and Michael Lee Bunt; one uncle, Edwin Gee; two sisters, Darla Sporisky and husband Wayne and Carla Fleming; and Kaitlyn Sporisky.
