Michiko Hood

Michiko D. Hood, 83, passed away Friday, January 08, 2010 in Abilene. Her wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South.

Mrs. Hood was born in Japan on December 1, 1926. She met Duke Hood when he was stationed in Japan while serving in the U.S. Army and they were married on August 16, 1954. She has been a resident of Abilene since 1971. She loved taking care of and spending time with her family and she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening and her precious grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Terry Cory and husband Terry of Queen Creek, Arizona, Jo Ann Hood of Abilene, Mary Gould of Lewisville and Patsy Hood of Abilene two sisterinlaws, Jane Davis of Austin and Pat Urbanczyk of White Deer three grandchildren, Eli Gould, Ken Cory and Alisa Gould Boyd and four greatgrandchildren.

Her husband Duke Hood preceded her in death.
