Miguel "Mike" Rodriguez

Miguel “Mike” Flores Rodriguez, 74, of Abilene, TX passed away, Saturday, July 30, 2022, in Abilene, TX.

A visitation and prayer service will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Mike was born on March 28, 1948, in Conroe, TX to the late Miguel Rodriguez and Emma Flores Rodriguez. Early in his life Mike enjoyed golfing and won the PGA Southwest Classic. He worked at Fairway Oaks Country Club and Abilene Country Club before going to work for the city of Abilene. Mike enjoyed working on cars doing auto body repair. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Mike is proceeded in death by Beatrice Rodriguez, survived by his children, Johnny Rodriguez, Mike Rodriguez and wife Amber Lynn, Jesse Olvera, Bravlio Gonzales and Sylvia, Margaret Estrada Molina and husband Rey, Alvan Estrada and wife Becky, Audra Giddeon Benz; 18 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; uncle, Sam Rodriguez, and wife Maria; aunt, Martina Robledo and husband Jose; cousin, Ramiro Martinez; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.
