Minnie Gomez Cedillo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister went to be with the Lord at the age of 87, March 08, 2012, with her loving family by her side. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 67 PM, with a prayer service beginning at 7 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral service will be 2 PM, Monday, March 12, 2012 at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church, 2525 Westview Drive, with interment following at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Minnie was born to the late Jessie and Lenora Gomez, March 12, 1924 in Haskell, Texas and lived in Stamford and then moved to Abilene. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church and previously worked at Hamilton Manufacturing Company.
She is preceded in death by her husband, David Cedillo Sr. son, David Cedillo Jr. greatgrandson, Matthew Dominguez siblings, Mary and Juanita Vasquez, and David, Jesse, Raymond, and Marcello Gomez.
Minnie is survived by her two daughters, Lucie Silva and Mary Rodriguez of San Antonio grandchildren, David Cedillo III and wife Lisa of Abilene, Michelle Cedillo, Missy Rodriguez Avila and husband John, Jennifer Rodriguez Dominguez and husband Nick, Veronica Silva Sauceda and husband Edward of San Antonio greatgrandchildren, Joshua and Nicholas Dominguez, Ashley, Christopher and Christian Avila, and Makayla and Madisyn Sauceda.
