Mollie Marie Garrett Walker, 80, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 in Abilene. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 5th at Galilee Baptist Church, 1011 Briarwood with interment following in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South.

Mollie was born in Palestine, Texas on January 1, 1933 the daughter of Whitt and Alma Garrett. She was a faithful member of Morning Star Baptist Church and worked as Housekeeping Director at Abilene Regional for over 20 years. She enjoyed playing Bingo, keeping a pretty yard, spending time with her grandchildren and volunteering at church and the Salvation Army.

Survivors include her children, Eldon Garret, Larry Walker, Raymond Walker, Alice Garrett, Shirley Walker Watson, Sharon Walker Ellis and Patricia Walker Robinson two brothers, Gene Garrett and Earl Garrett a sister, Melvina Montgomery 28 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Her parents, her husband, W.C. Walker, two daughters, Suzanne Garrett, Rosa Virginia Garrett and one sister, Katherine Henry preceded her in death.
If desired, memorial donations are suggested to Galilee Baptist Church.
