Myrtle Brown

Myrtle Faye Williams Brown, 81, transitioned from earth to glory on Monday, December 30, 2013 at a local hospital. Her funeral service will be Friday, January 3, 2014 at 12 noon at Macedonia Baptist Church, 608 N. 7th St. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South.

Faye spent most of her life as a homemaker raising her children and worked several years at Abilene State School and in retail at Mitchells, KMart and retired from Sears in 2001.

Survivors include her sons, James Jarilyn, Donald, Billye Elizabeth, Bobby her daughter,
Alice Burgess 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Her husband of 46 years, Grant Brown, preceded her in death.
