Nabor Guajardo Sr.

Nabor T. Guajardo Sr. passed away Friday, December 30, 2022, in Abilene, Texas. A visitation will begin at 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 4, 2023, in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 4, 2022, following visitation in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Nabor was born March 23, 1946, to Pedro and Isabel Guajardo in Harlingen, Texas. As a young man Nabor met a young lady named Lily Cantu in Wolfe, Texas and soon a romance sparked. The couple married on July 29, 1966 in Greenville, Texas and spent many blissful years together. In the early 1980's the couple moved their family to Abilene, Texas. Abilene soon became home and Nabor worked as a carpenter for several years. He was a man of all trades. Above all Nabor loved his family and of course the grandkids held a special place in his heart. His love and legacy will be carried on for generations to come.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and two siblings, Jose Guajardo, and Isabel Vega.
Nabor is survived by his wife, Lily Guajardo; his children, Nabor Guajardo Jr., Anita Guajardo (Alex Jiminez), and Mary Guajardo; his grandchildren, Manuel Albarado, Emilio Albarado, Mario Albarado, Laura Jiminez, Lily Avila, Isaac Guajardo, and Omar Guajardo; his great grandchildren, Brianna, Ezekial, Aubrey, and Elijah; his siblings, Anita Laisure, Pete Guajardo, Janie Morquecho, Hope Garcia, Lupe Vega, Juan Baldnegro, Yolanda Rios, and Mary Melendez; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
