Nancy was born June 24, 1953 to Willie Joe and Mary Grace Zigal in La Grange, Texas. She graduated from La Grange High School. After graduation, Nancy earned her Bachelors in Education from Stephen F. Austin. During her career, she taught at Franklin Jr. High, then went to Project Pass, and Woodson Center for Excellence. After 37 wonderful years of serving the community, Nancy retired from teaching. She volunteered her time by working with Meals on Wheels. Nancy enjoyed decorating for the holidays, working in the yard with her flowers, sewing, and cooking. Nancy had a sense of humor and was the most selfless person. Above all, she was a wonderful mother and even better Grammie. Her love and legacy will be felt for generations to come.
She is preceded in death by her father, Willie Joe Zigal.
Nancy is survived by her mother, Mary Grace Zigal; her children, Holly Moore and husband Andre of Abilene, and Kristi Alexander and husband Brad of Midland; her grandchildren, Taylor Moore, Tyson Moore, Taryn Moore, Clay Alexander, and Avery Alexander; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to thank Mary Beth and Susan for all the love and care you gave Nancy.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the ALS Foundation For Life.
