Nancy Crouse

Nancy Sue Ward Crouse, 76, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012, at her home in Abilene. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 23, 2012, at Elmwood Chapel.

Nancy was born on September 12, 1935, in Levelland, TX to parents Flonnie Cook and William Ward. She married the love of her life, Doyle Crouse, on August 15, 1953, in Yuma, AZ. She was a hairdresser in Levelland and enjoyed all things to do with crafts, especially painting. She was an excellent seamstress. She loved her family very much, and enjoyed their travels to the Smoky Mountains.

She is survived by her husband Doyle her daughters, Karen Hines and husband Kevin, and Vicki Hurst and husband Larry 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Hendrick Hospice, 1682 Hickory Street, Abilene, TX 79601.
