Nancy Mellon

Jane Collins Mellon, 70, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2007 at a local nursing home.

Visitation for family and friends will be 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral service will be Wednesday at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Larry Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Jane was born in Weinert, TX on May 26, 1937 to Charlie Winfield Collins and Willie Mae Kreager. She attended Bible College for four years and served as a minister in Grand Prairie and Arlington at the Four Square Gospel Church. She worked as a Insurance Sales Representative and she was involved in Toast Masters for several years. She enjoyed ceramics, loved life, loved to go, and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Roy Brigman and wife Margie of Abilene; daughter Nancy Chris Rowley and husband, Randy of Austin; two sisters, Ellen Simmons and Mary Hargrove, brother, Bob Collins; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Collins.
