Nancy Yates

Nancy Ruth Starkey Yates, 77, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 13, 2018 after a sudden illness surrounded by her family.

She was born on October 16, 1940 in Bangs, TX and was a longtime Abilene resident until moving to the Oklahoma City area in 2007. She was enjoying an extended visit with family & friends in Abilene when she passed.

A baby in her arms, a dance in her step & and a song in her heart brought her endless joy.

She is survived by son, Wayne Alan Yates & wife Kelly; daughter, Carol Ann Yates Clark & husband Bob; one brother, Tom Starkey; granddaughter, Lacy Yates Brooks and her husband, Greg along with their son, Brantlee; granddaughter, Katlin Yates and her fiancé, Adam along with their "Baby-to-be", Emmett; many nieces & nephews; & grand dog Lucy.

Family members who are welcoming her to her heavenly home are father, Robert Louis Starkey; mother, Ruth Starkey; brother, Robert Joe Starkey and his wife Geneva; sister-in-laws, Billie Yates Foyt and Zell Yates Zetty.

The Angels are Rejoicing as they welcome home our Angel here on earth. We will miss you Mom, but know we will see you again at the gates of Heaven to welcome us home with your huge smile that lights up a room and loving hugs.
