Nicki Harkleroad

Nicki Lynn Nelson Harkleroad, 51, passed away after a three-year battle with cancer. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, September 16, 2016 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

Nicki was born in Norman, OK to parents, Glenn and Cynthia Nelson. She attended Western Heights High School in Oklahoma City. She began her career in childcare while in high school. She made a full and happy career of taking care of children and has many "grandkids" everywhere. She was married to Gary Harkleroad for twenty-one years and they have three children, Brandon, Marshall, and Jacob.

She loved to have a good time with her family, enjoyed cleaning, cooking, dancing, and country music. Her kind-heart and giving soul will always be the thing everyone remembers most about her. She always had a smile, never met a stranger, and everyone was a friend.

She is survived by her three sons, Brandon Harkleroad and wife Stephanie, Marshall Harkleroad and fiancé Jessica, and Jacob Dean Harkleroad; Her mother, Cynthia Nelson, her brother, Glenn Nelson and wife Delene; her sister, Pamela Bruce and husband Phillip; two grandchildren, Jude Ryan, and one on-the-way; her children's father Gary Harkleroad; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Nicki was preceded in death by her father, Glenn V Nelson; her grandparents; two aunts; and one uncle.
