Norma Brown

Norma Pfiester Brown, 67, passed away Monday, July 13, 2009 in Abilene. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Norma was born February 20, 1942 in Sonora, Texas to Jess and Maggie Maxey. She attended Sonora High School before moving to Abilene in 1973. Her work included several years in the food and beverage industry before receiving her real estate license where she spent approximately 20 years with Panian and Mash Realtors. Norma enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Her great sense of humor and fun loving spirit will be missed by all those she touched throughout the years.

Survivors include her two children, David Pfiester and wife Carrie of Brady, TX and Gay Pfiester of Abilene; four grandchildren, Jessi and Matt Pfiester of Alaska and Eli and Seth Pfiester of Brady, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Maggie Maxey.

Honorary pallbearers for the service will be Barbara Patton, Frances Williams, Bonnie Smith, Dori Boney, Mary Lou McLaury and Lynda Morrow
